Thank you so much for your suggestion! I'm happy to share that this is already a current feature within the Hi Rasmus platform.

When creating or editing a workflow, you can customize mastery criteria and maintenance intervals—including how often maintenance testing occurs. If you'd prefer that targets which fail maintenance do not return to acquisition, simply uncheck the "Mastered > Acquisition" option. Leaving this box unchecked ensures that once a target is mastered, it will not move back into acquisition even if it later fails maintenance. I am including buttons on where this is, and what these settings look like.
